Prophecy about the coming destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.
And Jesus went out, and departed from the Temple: and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the Temple. And Jesus said to them, Do you see all these things? truly I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.... Matthew 24:1-2
The Disciples ask three questions on the Mount of Olives
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?.... Matthew 24:3
Warnings About False Messiahs And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Messiah and shall deceive many. And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in various places, and there shall be famines and troubles:.....and there shall be famines, and pestilences, these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues you shall be beaten: and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither premeditate: but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak : for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved...Mark 13:5-13
Warnings to flee the Destruction of Jerusalem And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is close. When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, stand in the Holy Place, (whoever reads this, let him understand:) Then let them in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened...... for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled... Luke 21:20-24 Matthew 24:15-22
False Alarms About the Second Coming of Jesus Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wherever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. ...Matthew 24:23-28
The True Signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn ...Matt 24: 29-30a
The Actual Second Coming of Jesus in the Clouds for His Saints
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near.... Matthew 24: 30b-31 Luke 21:28
There are two distinct comings (1 Th 4:16 Mt. 24:29). One is coming in the air "for" the saints before the Tribulation (Jn. 14:1-3; Lk 21:36; 1 Cor. 15:23; 1 Th 4:13-17; 2 Th 2:1, 7; Phil 3:21; Col 3:4)
and the other is coming to earth 7 years later "with" the saints to set up the Kingdom (Zech 14:5; Jude 14; Rev 19:11-21).
"And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon" (Revelation 16:13-16. Joel 3, Zech 14:1-15) immediately after the end of the Great Tribulation. Matt. 24:29-31, 25:31-46..The cup of God's wrath will be full at this time, and He will come to end the earthly reign of the Beast and his system.
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge, and make war. . .And the armies which were in Heaven ( His Church ) followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean..... Rev. 19:14, 2 Thess.2:7-10, Jude 14-15, Zech. 14:5, Joel 3:13 . .and he had on his vesture, and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
The Parable of the Fig Tree - the Coming of the Kingdom of God And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now near at hand. So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled... Luke 21; 29-32
Jesus likens the restoration of Israel unto a fig tree putting forth leaves. He said that He would return during that generation. We are living in that generation! We have seen the Jews return to Israel and the nation of Israel prosper. The reason for all this is: Jesus the Messiah is coming soon!
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away .But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only.
The Second Coming will be like Noah and the Flood
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.... Matthew 24:35-40
Always be Ready - Watch and Pray Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord will come. But know this, that if the head of the house had known in what part of the night the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you be also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes....... Matthew 24:42-44
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day comes upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man..... Luke 21:34-36
Many people laugh now about the Bible, but there's coming a day when the laughing will end. Noah was a Preacher of righteousness who received mocking and ridicule from the world as he built the Ark upon dry ground. God was true to His Word then, and God will be true to His Word today. Jesus is coming in the air soon to take his saints to Heaven, and you will either be caught up to meet Jesus or you will be left behind to enter the Great Tribulation.
The Prophetic Discourses to the Disciples -continues The Parable of the Good and Faithful Servant vs. the Unfaithful Servant
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he comes shall find so doing. Truly I say to you, That He shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he doesn't look for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth..... Matthew 24:45-51
The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be compared to ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but you go rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I don't know you. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of man comes.... Matthew 25:1-13
The Parable of the Ten Talents
For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants came, and reckoned with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not sown: And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: lo, there you will find your talent His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not sown: You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with interest. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him which has ten talents. For unto every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has. And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The Judgement of the Sheep and the Goats
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the Holy Angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all the Nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say to them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink? When did we see a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you? Or when did we see you sick, or in prison, and came to you? And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, (the Jews ) you have done it to me. Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungry, and you gave me no food: I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and you visited me not. Then shall they answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you? Then shall he answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.. Matthew 25:14-46
