D....
Do you have a map and definition of the dispensation of time
?
Dear Joy, ...Here is one man's
theory...

D
....
Did God create
the devil?
.Dear Romeo, ...No, God created
Lucifer, a beautiful angel with a free will. Later Lucifer
rebelled and caused his own downfall and became the Devil or
Satan.... Then he caused Adam to rebel and caused his
downfall and assumed Adam's authority and dominion over the
Earth as the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4).. We are all
born children of Adam and we need to be redeemed or "bought
back" from the curse of Adam and the dominion of Satan. This
is why Jesus suffered the punishment of sin and died the
death of a sinner ( He himself was sinless) for us in order
that we might be "born again" and become a child of God (as
Adam was originally in the Garden of Eden) ... hope this
helps
What power does Satan have? If God
made Heaven and earth, then why does Satan have reign over
it or does he? If you could show me exact passages I would
really appreciate it. Thank
you,... Dear Mary, see above
D,....
Where do we find the story of
the devil
being cast out of
heaven?
Dear Brad,, .... Jesus said, he saw
Satan cast out of heaven like lighting. (Luke
10:18)....Before Satan's fall he had said in his heart,
"I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon
the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will
be like the most high. (Isaiah 14:13-14)
Lucifer became Satan before Adam's
time. (Genesis 3) Lucifer was full of wisdom and perfect in
beauty and had been in Eden, the garden of God; every
precious stone was his covering, the Sardius, Topaz, and the
Diamond, the Beryl, the Onyx, and the Jasper, the Sapphire,
the Emerald, and the Carbuncle, and Gold: The workmanship of
thy tabrets and thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day
that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that
covereth: and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy
mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst
of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from
the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found
in thee. (Ezekiel 28:12b-15) One third of God's angels
joined Satan's rebellion and were cast out of heaven with
him. (Revelation 12:4,9)

I'm in a process of writting a
research paper about how King
David
developed the ancient Israeli kingdom, but I've been having
a hard time finding information about what was the
geographical situation before he came to the throne, and
about King Saul's enemies. I hope you could help me, thank
you and God bless you.
Dear Tamar, After the death of King Saul, David composed
a beautiful lament for Saul and Jonathan 2 Sam 1:1-27 .Then
David went to Hebron and was anointed King of Judah. 7 1/2
years later David was anointed King over all Israel. To
Inaugurate his Kingship David captured Jebus or Jerusalem.
His Kingdom extended from Dan to Beer-Sheba. See our map of
Ancient Israel at www.wcie.net/bible.studies.htm/map.htm

... Saul's enemies were the Ammonites, the Philistines and
the Amalakites .... hope this helps

D ...I want information on
the book of
Daniel
regarding the statue and the different animals and what they
represent.
Dear Luz, Found in Chapter 2 of the Book of Daniel, this
prophecy concerns the interpretation of a dream
Nebuchadnezzar had one night. He wanted the Magicians or
Soothsayers to give it's contents and then to explain the
meaning thus proving that they were not giving a worthless
interpretation. Failure to construct his dream would prove
them to be charlatans and they would be cut to pieces The
wise men were unanimous in their insistence that the king's
demand was unreasonable, unprecedented and beyond mortal
means, which prompted the king to issue a warrant for the
arrest and execution of all the wise men including Daniel
and his friends. Daniel then requested a stay to consult His
God who revealed both the dream and it's interpretation to
him in a night vision. Verses 20-23 display the Biblical
faith of Daniel.
Daniel disclosed the main theme of the dream- the
colossal image composed of a head of gold, breast and arms
of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron with
feet of iron mixed with clay. This composite statue was then
reduced to powder by a huge stone, and the powder was blown
away by the wind. Where the image had stood, the rock grw to
the size of a mountain and filled the earth. Daniel said
that the statue's golden head represented King
Nebuchadnezzar himself. The first world empire, then, was
the Babylonian. The second empire is said to be inferior to
Babylon and was to be Medo-Persia, a combination of two
peoples, the Medes and the Persians. This parallels the
statue in that the statue had two shoulders and arms. The
silver empire began with Cyrus the great who conquered
Babylon in 539 BC, and was supreme in the Near and Middle
East for about two centuries.
The bronze torso and thighs represent the nation that was
to follow the Medo/Persian Empire. Again, from history, we
know that the Greeks under Alexander the Great conquered the
Medo/Persian Empire. Alexander conquered the eastern
Mediterranean area, the Middle East, and marched as far east
as the Indus River. Legend has it that when Alexander
reached the Indus River he wept because there were no more
worlds for him to conquer. But despite Alexander's
greatness, his empire was split into four realms, ruled over
by his former generals, after his death.
The Greek Empire was eventually replaced by the Roman
Empire. This is what the iron legs and feet in the statue
represent. Rome ruled the Mediterranean area, portions of
Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Minor for hundreds of
years. Eventually this large empire split into two factions,
an Eastern Empire and the Western Empire.
In the Fourth century AD the Roman emperor Constantine
succeeded in re-uniting the empire temporarily, and moved
his capital from Rome to Constantinople in Asia Minor, which
eventually was named after him. (Constantinople is now known
as Istanbul, the capital of Turkey). Constantine's efforts
to make Constantinople the capital of his empire were only
partially successful. Eventually the empire did divide
irrevocably into an eastern and a western portion. This is
what is represented by the two legs and two feet.
The dream goes on to portray yet another empire
symbolized by the 10 toes which are partly iron and partly
clay. Iron connotes toughness and ruthlessness and while
iron and clay may co-exist they cannot combine into a strong
and durable world power. The implication being that this
final phase would be marked by a kind of federation such as
the European Union rather than by a single powerful
realm.
The kingdom of Rome weakened and was attacked by
barbarian nations that finally resulted in the defeat of
Rome. Each nation took a piece of what was left of the Roman
Empire. These nations were ten in number. Seven of them
originated European nations, but the other three disappeared
completely.
1. The Saxons, originating the English nation.
2. The Franks, originating the French nation.
3. The Alamanni, originating the German nation.
4. The Visigoths, originating the Spanish nation.
5. The Suevi, originating the Portuguese nation.
6. The Lombards, originating the Italian nation.
7. The Burgundians, originating the Swiss nation.
8. The Heruli, who have since disappeared.
9. The Vandals, who have since disappeared.
10. The Ostrogoths, who have since disappeared.
More countries joined the European Union on May 1, 2004.
The European Union now encompasses virtually all of the
modern-day countries within the geographical territory of
the ancient Roman Empire.
The European Union is important, prophetically, because
it has been preparing people in that part of the world
philosophically and politically and economically for their
participation as members of the new world empire which the
Antichrist will forge into existence within the near future.
Thus, the EU is moving towards a form of unification so that
they will be ready to swear collective allegiance to the
Antichrist soon after he creates a new Middle Eastern
empire.
The final scene of the statue being reduced to dust by
the Rock which then becomes a mountain and fills the earth
is God's established Kingdom which is destined to endure
forever. "And in the days of these kings shall the God of
Heaven set up a Kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and
the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall
break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall
stand for ever." Daniel 2:44, The symbol of the Stone is
often used to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. and the
Kingdom He sets up will be an eternal Kingdom that will
never end! "This is the Stone which was set at nought of you
builders, which is become the head of the corner". Acts
4:11
Daniel 2:45, "Forasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut
out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in
pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the
gold; the great God has made known to the king what shall
come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the
interpretation thereof sure." The symbol of the stone is
often used to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. and the
Kingdom He sets up will be an eternal Kingdom that will
never end!
Acts 4:11, "This is the stone which was set at nought of
you builders, which is become the head of the corner." ...
Ephesians 2:20, "And are built upon the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief
corner stone;" ... 1 Corinthians 10, "...And did all drink
the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual
Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. " ...
When Jesus Christ returns, all eyes will see the fulfillment
of this prophetic dream right before their very eyes. ALL
nations on earth will crumble to dust at the coming of the
Lord Jesus Christ. For it is plainly written ... Daniel
2:45, " the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof
sure." Every aspect of this prophecy has been proven to be
true by simply reading a history book! Even the
non-believing historian would have to admit this reality.
D
...I have been studying the
prophecy contained in
Daniel.
9:25-27. I found your page on the subject very interesting.
Two thoughts have occurred to me. The page says that the
operative decree was issued in 458 B.C. and that precisely
483 years had elapsed when Jesus Christ was baptized in 25
A.D. That is true so far as it goes, but I believe that one
must add 1 to compensate for the absence of a Year Zero,
placing the year at 26 A.D. Also, the command in 458 B.C.
was to rebuild the temple, whereas Dan. 9:25-27 specifies a
command to rebuild Jerusalem. This command was issued by
Artaxerxes in 445 B.C. (and that presents another problem,
because 483 years from that date gives us 39 A.D., which is
impossible). Finally, the gospel account says that Jesus'
ministry began in the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius.
Because Tiberius acceded to the throne upon the death of
Augustus on 19 August 14 A.D., Tiberius' 15th year would
have begun in 28 A.D.I am greatly confused by all of this
and would welcome any comments you would care to make. Thank
you very much.
Dear Tom, We use three Scholars who had access to Ancient
text namely The Dake's Annotated Reference Bible, The Reese
Chronological Bible and The Chronology of the Bible.... 25
A.D.is OK, As we allow at least two year variation on this
particular date.... I accept the theory of Klassen because
the 483 years was the period from the Temple dedication by
Ezra in October 458 B.C.to the baptism and anointing of
Jesus in 25 A.D. Please notice I said
"theory"... hope this
helps
D
... what are the duties of a deacon in the church. my church
is love joy peace christian fellowship of the united holy
church of america. J.L.
We know why they were first chosen,
so the pastor(s) could continue to center on prayer and the
ministry of the Word, without getting too bogged down in
daily tasks around the church. Acts 6:1-4 says, "And in
those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied,
there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews,
because their widows were neglected in the daily
ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the
disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we
should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore,
brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report,
full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over
this business. But we will give ourselves continually to
prayer, and to the ministry of the word." They were to be
chosen by the congregation ("Wherefore, brethren, look ye
out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy
Ghost and wisdom"), and then to be given their duties by the
pastor(s) ("whom we may appoint over this
business").
There are so many churches that do
not pattern their deacons after the Bible, but after our
government. They make deacons more like congressmen and
senators (not as hands-on doing the work as the Bible
teaches, but as legislators who make the rules and tell
everyone else what to do). That is why many churches call
the deacons a "Board -- the Deacon Board." They are like the
boards who run companies, having the final say on this and
that.
In that fashion, the deacons in
many churches become more like the Pharisees, than like the
deacons in the Bible. Matthew 23:1-11 says, "Then spake
Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The
scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore
whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do
not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they
bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on
men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with
one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be
seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge
the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms
at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And
greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi,
Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master,
even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your
father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in
heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your
Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall
be your servant."
A person will look long and hard to
find a church with a Scriptural setup for deacons. And then,
long and hard to find some ambitious deacons who are taking
their position seriously. Many take the position, only to be
more occupied with earthly matters, and fail to faithfully
fulfill their duties as a deacon. I Timothy 3:13 says, "For
they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to
themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith
which is in Christ Jesus."
D
... I NEED SCRIPTURE FOR WHERE
OUR SOULS GO FOR THOSE WHO
DIE
IN CHRIST AND FOR THOSE THAT DIE OUT OF CHRIST?
Dear Ty, 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us
that when those in Christ die and are absent from their
body, they go to Heaven to be with the Lord. Also see Phil.
1:21 - 24, Hebrews 12:23, James 2:26, Rev. 6:9-11. Those
that die out of Christ go to Hell. See Luke 16:19-31, Rev.
20:11-15

D ...
I have often heard it
preached, that Jesus when He died on the cross, went to
heaven for those "3 days". Did Jesus go to hell or heaven
for "3 days" where he got the key of
Death
and Hell from satan and set the
captives free.... I heard this preached too many times.
Where can I find it in the bible?
Dear Lorraine, Before the
resurrection of Jesus, all righteous souls went to Hades as
described by Jesus in Luke 16:19 When Jesus died His body
went to the grave, but He descended into Hades, took the
Keys from the two evil Angels whose names were Death and
Hades and liberated those righteous captives taking them to
Heaven with Him when He ascended on high. (Matthew 12:40;
Ephesians 4:8-10). Now when a Christian dies he no longer is
held captive in the lower parts of the earth, but he goes
immediately to Heaven waiting the resurrection of the body (
2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:21-24; Hebrews
12:22-24;Revelation 6:9-11 ). Christ now has the keys of
Hades and of Death ( Revelation 1:18 ). The torment
department of Hades is being filled more every day. It will
hold all the wicked dead until the end of the Millennium
when Hades will deliver up the souls in it, and the graves
will give up all the bodies in them. Then the bodies, souls,
and spirits of the wicked will be cast into the Eternal Hell
( Revelation 20:11-15 )...... You can listen to a detailed
explanation at www.wcie.net/bible.studies.htm/sg61.htm

Hello, We have had a recent
discussion concerning the term "angel of death" and it's
occurance in the Bible. I have not been able to find this
term in the Bible. Does it exist? Any help would be
appreciated. Through Christ,
Dear Mike, The (Evil) Angel of
Death is identified in Rev. 6:8, 1:18, 20:14 ... A detailed

... WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY
ABOUT WOMEN'S DRESS
?
ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, SHOULD A WOMEN BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A
DRESS TO ALL CHURCH FUNCTIONS?
Dear Anthony, Christian women
should be careful to avoid what the Bible calls "The attire
of a harlot" that is tight fitting, short or revealing
clothing worn only by prostitutes in Bible times. The Bible
also mentions that a woman should not wear mens clothing.
Modern women's clothing such as pantsuits and slacks made
for a woman are not considered men's clothing. The Bible
also says "It is the older church women's job ( not the
men's ) to teach the younger women what to wear and how to
act as a Christian woman, but this is to be done in love.
Also men should dress properly in the church. We have to
remember that God looks at the heart and not the outward
appearence and we must never cause a brother or sister to
stumble by telling them in a harsh manner that they are
dressed wrong ... hope this
helps

...The following question
has been raised in a discussion on Deuter-Isaiah: do the
authors show a dark
side to God? Your response will
be appreciated. Thank-you,
Dear David, .... There should be no
discussion as the Bible plainly says in James 1:17 that God
is Light and there is no shadow, let alone a dark side....
Many times people that think they are going to Heaven get
concerned when they read that a Good, Holy and Just God will
also send an unrepentant sinner to the everlasting flames
and worms of Hell.
D.
ARE THERE DINOSAURS IN THE BIBLE ?

Bible texts are from the
King James Version
We do know of somebody who was
there when they came into existence, and He has left a
written record about what happened for all who wish to be
informed, to read. The person is God and the book is the
Bible.....In the first chapter
of Genesis we read how God created the world. On day one He
made light; day two the firmament; day three the dry land
and plants; day four the sun, moon and stars; day five all
the fowls of the air and the creatures of the sea; day six
all land dwelling creatures and mankind; and day seven He
made a day of rest to be a commemoration of His creative
work..... So according to the
written record of what happened all the dinosaurs which
includes flying birds, creatures of the sea, as well of the
lizard like ones were all created on day five and six of
creation. Mankind was made the same day as the lizard like
one and would have walked with them.
Why then is the
word dinosaur not written in the Bible?
The reason is because Sir
Richard Owen, in 1842, a British paleontologist, introduced
the term Dinosauria (from two Greek words which means
"terrible lizard") into the scientific literature. He used
it as a name at the level of an order in the classification
of animals to designate a variety of reptiles known at that
time from collections of fossil bones discovered in Europe
and North America. Since then, the less formal word
"dinosaur" has come into general usage to denote large,
extinct reptiles. But God's Word, the King James Version of
the Bible was translated in 1611, more than 200 years before
this word was introduced to the English language.
In the book of Job we read
of two creatures which were created by God and were known to
Job. How do we know that Job knew them? When you give an
illustration to someone, you use things that they know
about, not things they don't know anything about. God does
the same thing. In the book of Job He is giving an
illustration to Job using these creatures. They must also
have been known by those who wrote the King James Version of
the Bible as they called these creatures by name. Here is
what God tells Job:-.....
"Behold now behemoth, which I made
with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is
in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He
moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are
wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass;
his bones are like bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways
of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto
him. Surely the mountains bring
him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. He
lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and
fens. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the
willows of the brook compass him about. Behold, he drinketh
up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up
Jordan into his mouth. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose
pierceth through snares." ...
Job 40:15-24.
"Canst thou draw out
leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou
lettest down? Canst thou put an
hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak
soft words unto thee? Will he make a covenant with thee?
wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? Wilt thou play
with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy
maidens? Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall
they part him among the merchants? Canst thou fill his skin
with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears ? Lay thine
hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
Behold, the hope of him is in vain:
shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is
so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand
before me?
Out of his mouth go burning lamps,
and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth
smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath
kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. In his
neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy
before him. ...Job
41
Look up Behemoth in most
Bible Commentaries and they will tell you that it is an
elephant or a hippopotamus. How many elephants or
hippopotami have you seen with a tail like a cedar tree? If
we are honest with ourselves we will admit that the
description does not fit these animals. But read the
description again looking at the picture above
What about the second
creature that Job describes, Leviathan. Bible Commentaries
will tell you it is a whale or crocodile. In Job 41:10 God
asks Job "who is so fierce that they dare to stir up
Leviathan?" He has terrible teeth; scales so close together
that air cannot get in between; fire comes out of his mouth,
and smoke from his nostrils; neither spear, dart or arrow
can hurt him; he is so strong that to him iron is like
straw, brass is as rotten wood, darts are as stubble; and he
stirs up the sea like a boiling pot. This description is
definitely not that of a whale or crocodile which mankind
has hunted and killed for many years, and neither of these
has fire coming out of it's mouth or smoke from their
nostrils. ..... Leviathan is
mentioned in two other places in the Bible. The first is in
Psalms 104:25, 26:- "So is this
great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable,
both small and great beasts. There go the ships: there is
that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play
therein."
The second place is in Isaiah
27:1:- .... "In that day the
LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish
leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked
serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the
sea."
Throughout the Bible the Devil is
depicted as a serpent or dragon, and the Lord will
definitely punish him for all of what he has done.
.... But getting back to Leviathan,
what is it? He is obviously a very large, fierce sea
dwelling creature which brought fear into the hearts of even
the strongest men. He could also be described as a sea
dwelling dragon. ..... A
dragon? Most people have heard of the fairy tales of dragons
and knights in shining armor from the British Isles. Then
there are the very beautifully decorated, colourful Chinese
dragons which they use in many of their celebrations. But
how many stop to think that this land or sea dwelling
monster is spoken of in the Bible. These three different
cultures have, in their own way, preserved the memory of
dragons which are extinct today.
....How are the fairy tale dragons
often described? They are large lizard like creatures,
covered in scales, breath fire from their mouths, smoke from
their noses, have wings for flying and terrify even the
bravest of men. Very similar to leviathan. Maybe these fairy
tales are actually historical records of man's encounters
with dinosaurs that has been slightly exaggerated over
time. ......The word dragon or
dragons is mentioned 34 times in the Bible. As we have
already mentioned above some of these texts don't relate to
the creatures themselves, but to that old serpent, that
great dragon, called the Devil and Satan.
"Thou didst divide the sea by thy
strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the
waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and
gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the
wilderness." Psalms 74:13, 14. .....
"In that day the LORD with his sore
and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the
piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and
he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." Isaiah 27:1.
...... In Revelation 16:13.
"And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is
the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,"
Revelation 20:2.
So although the word dinosaur is
not mentioned in the Bible, there are terrible lizards of
both land and sea dwelling kinds mentioned in it, such as
Leviathan, Behemoth and dragons. All of these creatures were
made by God on days 5 and 6 of creation. God's Word is sure,
He cannot lie.
