...How long was the
time from when God sent Joseph, Mary, and Baby
Jesus
to Egypt, until the
angel of the lord called them back to Israel? Or
bascially how much longer did King Herod
live?
Dear Marcus, ... In spite
of our traditions.....The visit of the Wise Men and
Joseph's dream happened at their home in Nazareth
(Luke 2:39). Jesus was a young child, a "pais" (a
young Child) not a "brephos"(a baby). Jesus was
more than 1 year old when Herod decreed that all
the children two years old and under in or near
Bethlehem should be slain (Matthew 2:16) .... The
Wise Men scorned Herod's directions to go to
Bethlehem and followed the star to the house of
Mary and Joseph in Nazareth. We know from Roman
history that Herod died in March of 4 B.C.
therefore we can estimate that Joseph, Mary and the
young child Jesus went to Egypt about 4 B.C. and
were there for less than a year

Why does the world treats
Jesus
so cruel and so badly?.
Dear SL, The Gospel of St. John
3:19 says that mankind,in general, loves darkness rather
than Light and will not come to the Light of Jesus. St. Luke
2:34 says that Jesus was set for a sign that shall be
spoken against. Nobody curses in the name of Baal or
Ashtarte, they curse in the name of Jesus - visit

Where in the Bible does it tell
how old
Jesus
was when he died?
Dear Sari, ... The Bible does tell.
You need to be a Jewish scholar, like Zola Levitt, to get
the answer. Jesus died on Good Friday (Passover day) at 3:00
p.m. the very time the Temple Lambs were being slain and
prepared for the evening meal. Daniel, the Prophet, said
Jesus would be killed after 42 months or 3 1/2 years. The
Levitical Law allowed Jesus to start His ministry at the age
of 30. This of course means that Jesus was born in October
on the Feast of Tabernacles (He tabernacled or dwelt among
us) Jesus was 33 1/2 years old when He died and rose again
.... hope this helps

...
How many people did
Jesus
reveal himself to before he ascended into heaven?
Dear Amanda, ....At least five
hundred and seventy (570) He revealed himself 12 times ... 1
- Mary Magdalene (Mk 16:99 ; Jn 20:15-16) 2- Women at the
tomb (Mt. 28:9) 3- Two disciples on the road to Emmaus (Lk
24: 13-31) 4 - Peter (Lk. 24:34; 1 Cor. 15:5) 5- The ten (Jn
20:19) 6- The eleven (Jn 20:26) 7- The seven (Jn 21:1-22).
This was after the second Sunday 8- The eleven on a certain
mountain in Galilee (Mt 28:16) 9- The twelve including
Matthias (I Cor. 15:5; Acts 1:26) 10- 500 brethen (I Cor.
15-6) 11- James, the Lord's brother (I Cor. 15:7; Gal 1:19)
12- All the apostles (I Cor 15:7: Mk. 16:19-20; Lk 24:50-53;
Acts 1:3-12,26)

DID
JESUS
HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
Dear Elizabeth, ...When Joseph and
Mary settled down to raise a family in Nazareth. Jesus and
His brothers, Joses, James, Judah and Simon no doubt helped
at the carpenter shop as Jewish boys are required to learn a
trade. His sisters may have cleaned up the shavings. It must
have been a little crowded in their home as there were at
least nine people living there at one time.

I know that the bible says
that, Jesus
had no thing about him that was
considered attractive..or somthing like that.. were is that
found???? Thanks alot
Dear Hannah, In Isaiah 53:2 ....
Some scholars feel that he was an ordinary looking man while
others feel that he was quite handsome. In any case the
beatings and wounds He received caused His appearance to be
disfigured... see verses 3,4 and 5

... 2nd chonicles during
king
Josiah's
reign. Why was the temple in need of repair. Was this the
first temple (the one built by Solomon?). The book of the
laws was found when the temple was being repaired. The book
was then brought to Josiah.
Dear Betty, ... There were several
bad Kings who neglected Solomon's Temple and so this was the
second repair. The first under Joash in chapter 24:4-12.
This was the original written by Moses as the literal Hebrew
reads "The actual engraving of the law of the Ever-living in
the hand of Moses"
J
... I would like a timeline
on the Book of Joshua
and the important facts of the
book. thank you very much., Normand
In the Old Testament, how long was
Joshua in the promised land? Where are the scriptures where
this answer is found? Felicia
Dear Normand and Felicia... Joshua
entered the Promised Land April 10 1422 B.C. and died in
October 1372 B.C. He judged Israel for 50 years ..... see
Joshua 4:19 and 24:29:.... Joshua, the Subject, became the
leader of Israel after Moses died. ( Scribes and eye-witness
Recorders recorded national events.) Joshua was a slave in
Egypt of the tribe of Ephraim. The name Joshua in the Greek
Septuagint is Jesus (see also Acts 7:45, Hebrews 4:8) ...
The book deals with God's redemption of Israel out of Egypt
and the fulillment of the prophecy of entering into the
Promised Land. The book may be divided into two parts of 12
chapters each: 1-12 the conquest: 13-24 the division of the
land among the tribes. The book contains 18,858 words: 658
berses and 24 chapters
J
...Just was wondering if
there is some place in history that gives an idea of how
long a time it was between the time
John the
Baptist, was beheaded and the
death of Jesus. Is there a timeline of sorts that would tell
this on the internet? Or can you direct me to a book? Thanks
for your help.
Dear Miriam, According to the Reese
Chronological Bible KJV, the estimated time John was
beheaded is March A.D. 27. The death of Jesus Friday April
15 at 3 PM A.D. 29
This is VERY INTERESTING to me. How
do you come up with EVEN the time as well as the DAY? Thank
you so VERY MUCH for your answer, I appreciate it.

...What is the Book of
Joel
in the Old Testament all about ??? Who is the writer? Date?
Background?
Dear Christopher, ... Joel was the son of Pethuel. He was
a Prophet of the tribe of Judah. He addresses the older men
because in the oral tradition of the East reports concerning
events of the past were handed down generation after
generation for long periods of time that they might pass on
the Word of God to coming generations ....
Dear Andrea, Circa 828 B.C. Joel, the Prophet wrote about
1.-The immediate and latter-day destruction of Israel by
Babylon, 2 -the future Antichrist: 3 - the battle of
Armageddon: 4 - the restoration of Israel in the day of the
Lord 5 - the future outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all
flesh.... His purpose was to make clear the sufferings of
Israel because of her backslidings and to assure her of
God's blessings under Jesus the Messiah during His 1000 year
Reign.
J ..
What is your view concerning a
believer who "draws back unto perdition" (Heb 10:39) or
"casts away his confidence" (Heb 10:35)? Also, didn't
Judas
turn away from the Lord, committ suicide, and is now
tormented by the flames of hell?
Dear Sean, Every Bible Scholar I know of agrees with your
premise on Judas. The standard answer given by those who
believe in Eternal Security is that anyone who draws back
was never saved. Saint Paul had this problem in Corinth.
Many who repented and were baptized supposed they were
secure in their salvation and nothing they did could cut
them off from Christ. Paul made the plain statement in 1
Cor. 9:27 that he kept his body under subjection lest after
having preached to others he himself became a castaway
(Greek adokimos or reprobate) One of my favorite Bible
passages is found in Ezekiel 33:10-19 where the Lord repeats
SEVEN times the fact that when a righteous person turns back
none of his righteousness will be remembered. The people
complained that God was not fair in verse 20....... hope
this helps

CAN YOU SEND ME ANY INFORMATION ON
JABEZ
FROM 1ST CHRONICLES 4:9,10.
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS
Dear Curtis, Jabez (he makes sorrow) was named because
his mother bore him in sorrow. called upon God and God
granted him his five requests 1 = to bless him indeed 2 = to
enlarge his coast 3 = that the hand of God would be with him
4 = to keep him from evil and 5 = to keep him from
grief..... hope this helps
We have read the book The Prayer of
Jabez. Who are the parents of Jabez?
He is introduced in the Bible without mention of family
connections
J was

Were there two sites
for
Jericho? I have heard that the
original city was destroyed by Joshua but rebuilt by Herod,
There are two notations of the same story regarging Jesus
and the healing of the blind man. One version says He was
leaving Jericho; the other sates He was entering Jericho and
He healed Bartimaeus. Please clarify if this is correct.
Thank you ,
Dear Mary, ... Jericho is an ancient and well documented
city. It is the main entrance to Jerusalem from the East.
See our Map at www.wcie.net/bible.studies.htm/map.htm
.... There were four blind men healed at Jericho
in three instances. What was said by the men and by Jesus in
each case is different. Jericho was a large city of over
100,000 so there were many blind ... hope this helps,

... I was
wondering who wrote the book of
Job,
when, where, and what language it was written in,
and has it changed over the years.
Dear Krystal .... It could
have been Job or Moses or both. The events took
place in the land of Uz about 1845 B.C. located in
the vast wilderness from Arabia-Petra to the
Persian Gulf where Moses spent 40 years tending the
flocks of Jethro. Since it was written by an
Israelite, it was in Hebrew and the King James
version has not been modified to conform to
political correctness or to make money from new
bible version sales.
.. Does Job provide a
clear and complete answer to the so-called problem
of evil.
No, You need the entire
Bible. The answer is the New Heavens and the New
Earth in the last two chapters of the Bible. The
Book of Job
lets us see behind the
scenes as Satan accuses Job. We also see that Satan
needs God's permission to use his authority as the
"god of this world". This authority he obtained by
cunning and deceit from Adam.... see
"The
Book of
Job"
Did Job's wife ever die
when everything was taken away from him and who did
he have his other children by when everything was
restored to him?
Dear Frank, There is no
Biblical indication that his wife died
how many questions are in
the book of Job?
Dear Nathan,... 329 Count
them.

...
what was
Jehoshaphat
like as a political and spiritual leader?
Dear Seth,... A failure. ..There
was no distinction between Civil Law and Religion. Early in
his reign Jehoshaphat put to rest the fued with Ahab. The
ill-coceived wedding of his son, Jehoram, to the evil
daughter of the politically powerful Queen Jezebel caused
great spiritual loss to Jehoshaphat's Kingdom .....2
Chronicles 19:1-3
J
...In the book of Joshua
10:13 it says "in the book
of
Ja`sher" What is this book and
who wrote it?
Dear Mary, the book of
Jasher,
also mentioned in 2 Sam 1:18 is said to be a collection of
triumphal poems composed by several men or by one man
(Jasher). It is not mentioned in the Septuagint, the
earliest Greek version of the Old Testament.

What is the diffrence between
Jews
and Gentiles
Dear Kathleen ...Jews profess
Judaism as their religion. Gentiles do not. Paul the Apostle
redefined a true Jew as one who was circumcised in his or
her heart ...Romans 2:29
