The Promised Land
is described for us in detail in the Bible "The
Lord said to Abram 'Now lift up your eyes and look
from the place where you are, northward and
southward and eastward and westward; for all the
land which you see, I will give it to you and to
your descendants forever... Arise, walk about the
land through its length and breadth; for I will
give it to you'" (Genesis 13:14-17). "The Lord made
a covenant with Abraham, saying, 'To your
descendants I have given this Land, from the river
of Egypt as far as the great river, the river
Euphrates'" (Genesis 15:18-21). "I will fix your
boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the
Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River
Euphrates" (Exodus 23:31). The entire Land of
Israel, including Judea and Samaria (the "West
Bank"), Gaza, the Golan Heights, and all of
Jerusalem, was given by the Lord to the people of
Israel in perpetuity.

... I am looking for a map of
the land of Israel as it was originally laid out by God to
Abram. I want to see this laid out with the present day
countries. I haven't been able ot find it anyplace.
Dear Arlen,
... The complete description of the land which Abram's seed
was to inherit is found above
The
boundaries are from the River Euphrates (at the top of the
map), to the Hills of Lebanon, to the great sea (the
Mediterranean), to the great Egyptian river. The great
Egyptian river is what we call the Suez Canal. A small river
was connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea before
they installed the Canal. The Cuneiform tablets, (317) found
at Elba state, that Assyrian kings went across the desert
and fought a battle at the great Egyptian river. Then they
proceeded westward to fight another battle at the Nile.

Do you know where I can
find a good Bible Study on Acts 20:18-32 on the internet or
better yet do you have one you could email me?
Dear Patty, While at Miletus (about
30 miles south of
Ephesus) Paul
sent for the Ministers and
Deacons of the Church to give them his farewell speech. ....
Paul recounts his trials caused by the Jews tracking him
from place to place and how he held back nothing when he
preached to the Ephesians both in public and from house to
house. Paul goes on to say, how he was firmly resolved to go
to Jerusalem in spite of the repeated warnings of the Holy
Spirit. ( Some ten years or more were to pass before the end
of his life and ministry.) Paul further bore record that he
was innocent of the blood of any Jew or Gentile who heard
his message and failed to take heed because he had not
failed to declare unto them the revealed will of God up to
that time. He went on to tell the Bishops who were the
preaching Elders that after he left them oppressing wolves
would enter in to the flock at Ephesus who would not provide
for, care for or protect the sheep (church) and would split
the church in order to get a following to support
themselves. He commits them to God who is able to repair
their body, soul and spirit and build them up as an
habitation of God. .... hope this helps

Paul's
visit to Jerusalem in Acts
21:17-26, what happens and what is it's significance in
light of 1 - The decree by the Jerusalem Council (Acts
15:28-29) and 2-Paul's agreement to the circumcision of
Timothy (Acts 16:21)
Dear Denise, ... Paul and Barnabas
were present at the First Church Council at Jerusalem in
June A.D. 58 and confirmed that God;s Word was working among
the Gentiles with Signs and Wonders following. Paul also
gave his last missionary report to James, the Lord's
brother, and the Elders of the Church at
Jerusalem.
Paul wisely had Timothy circumcised
so the Jews would allow him to preach to them. Circumcision
had nothing to do with Timothy's salvation. The Temple
Ceremonies and rituals continued until the Destruction of
Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Both Peter and Paul died during the
reign of Nero in approximately 65 A.D. Both were born about
the same time as Jesus. Paul was converted about 35 A.D

P ...I
was reading the Holy Gospel of Luke and came upon a story
which i don't quite understand. It is Luke 19:28-40. What is
going on? Please help!
Dear Valandra .... What we now celebrate as
Palm Sunday is the
Triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to be crowned King
of Israel (first coming). Jesus needed a Royal donkey to
ride upon as this was the custom for Kings and also to
fulfill the Messianic Prophecy in Zechariah 9: 9-10 read
also John 14: 14-16. The people shouted with a loud voice "
Blessed be the King". The religious leaders did not like all
this attention being directed away from them and later on
they swayed the crowd to shout "crucify Him!" ...... hope
this helps

I WOULD LIKE TO STUDY WITH YOU BUT NEED A LITTLE BACK GROUND
OF YOUR BELIEFS: AS DO U BELIEVE IN
PREDESTINATION,
WILL THE CHURCH BE RAPTURED PRE, MID
POST.....ETC..?.....THANK YOU VERY MUCH...
Dear Roger,... I discarded most of
my "beliefs" in 1970 when I had a dramatic conversion. Now I
mainly stick to the simple truth in plain english (King
James English) of the Bible and History ( not modern-day
political correctness history written after the 1930s.) As
far as predestination, one needs a knowledge of the
attribute of God known as "foreknowledge" because it is only
through his foreknowledge that God predestined us and
prepared a Heaven and a Hell and other things. You and I
both have free wills and we both know it. As far as the
Rapture , when it happens, we are all going up regardless of
our position. I discard the teachings of many Preachers and
Bible Scholars ( in one ear and out the other ) when they
present their own private interpretations of the Bible. I
studied English and I can read. I also understand nuclear
physics and electronics which has taught me that the Bible
is very, very accurate. Hope this helps,
THANKS FOR THE ANSWER AND I DO
AGREE THAT WE DO HAVE A FREE WILL....THAT IS THE ANSWER I AM
LOOKING FOR BECAUSE TO MY SURPRISE I HAVE STUDIED WITH SOME
WHO HALF WAY THRU A COURSE HAVE ANNOUNCED THEY BELIEVE IN
PREDESTINATION AND THAT IS WHERE I STOP...THEY HAVE A LITTLE
SCRIPTURE THAT DOESNT FIT WITH THE PLAN OR BELONG WITH GODS
NATURE. THANKS AGAIN,,, LOOKING FORWARD TO STUDYING...ROGER

P
... I'm writing a paper on
Philemon.
I need to wring out more on the exegesis of Philemon. I'm
also going to write on the hermeneutics of this letter.
Could you please elaborate on these aspects of Philemon?
Thanks
Dear Kevin, ... Philemon is a
private letter, the only one of it's kind written by Paul,
and the shortest of his four "Prison Epistles" The others
being Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians. It was written
at Rome during the first imprisonment (62-63 A.D.). Philemon
was a resident of Colossae and was a member of the church
there (Col. 4.9). It was by the Apostle he was brought into
the Christian life. That Philemon was an earnest Christian
appears from Paul's statements. Onesimus was the slave of
Philemon. In some way he had wronged his master. He came to
Rome and was brought into contact with Paul. These relations
resulted in his conversion. He was very serviceable to Paul
who would have been glad to retain him, but he convinced him
it was his duty to return to his master. In this letter he
bespeaks for Onesimus a kind and Christian reception. It is
a masterpiece of Christian courtesy and intercession.....
hope this helps

latter days. #2 Ezekiel, in Ezekiel chapter 3 and John, in

At the beginning of Psalms 119 my
bible has the word ALEPH on it. Then before verse 9 of the
same chapter it has Beth, then before verse 17, and so on
all throughtout Psalms. Can you tell me what it means, and
why is it , where it is, and why does it begin in Psalms
119. Thanks and my God bless you....
Dear Chris, .... Psalm 119 is
divided into 22 distinct parts of 8 verses each. Each part
is headed by letters of the Hebrew alphabet, Aleph is the
first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and is also the symbol
for the number 1. Beth is the second letter of the alphabet
and the symbol for number 2, and so on.....
