Genesis 6:2 When men began to
multiply on to the face of the ground, and daughters were
born to them , the sons of God saw that the daughters of men
were fair and they took to wife such of them as they chose.
Please explain this? Whether Gods sons can marry or not and
from where they originate.
Dear George, When the sons of God from the family of
Seth saw the daughters of men that is , the descendants of
the wicked Cain. Mixed marriages between parties of opposite
principles and practice were necessarily sources of
extensive corruption. The women, religious themselves, would
as wives and mothers exert an influence fatal to the
existence of religion in their household, and consequently
the people of that later age sank to the lowest
depravity..... hope this helps

Does the new testament leave out keep
the
sabbath
, in the commandments, if so where is it found ?
Dear Debbie, The Sabbath, in Hebrew "Shabbath" means
intermission or cessation from work.... 2513 years after
God's seventh day rest, Israel was commanded to keep the
Sabbath as a delight or memorial of their freedom from the
bondage of Egypt.
Early Christians freely chose the first day of the week ,
now called "The Lord's Day" to celebrate their freedom from
the bondage of sin. There is no certain day or commandment
as Paul said. In my experience one day of rest in seven is
indeed a refreshing delight. Jesus said the Shabbath was
made for man's pleasure.....Thank you
very much ,this will be very helpful...RAPTURE BOB

..I'm seeking to know what
is the spiritual significance of the other houses built by
King Solomon
1-house of Lebanon 2-house of
daughter of Pharaoh 3-house of the forest
Dear Pastor V , The three buildings that you mentioned
are all part of King Solomon's palace complex called "The
house of the forest" I Kings 7:2. The house of Lebanon I
Kings 10:17 was different from Solomon's Palace or the
Queen's Palace (The daughter of Pharaoh). It measured 208
feet by 104 feet and was 62 feet high. Perhaps this housed
the king's harem.
Dr. Williams and I take the Theological position of
Propositional Revelation which is to say that Bible
sentences have a subject, a verb and a predicate and that
most of the meanings are in simple plain English. There are
exceptions, of course, namely the Typology of the Tabernacle
and of the Book of Revelation which was written in sign
language to get past the Roman prison guards censorship. In
other words we do not put a spiritual significance on every
item in the Bible. The significance of these buildings is
that Solomon violated two laws of God which pertain to Kings
of Israel. First : he married an excessive number of wives
(many of whom were heathen) Second : he heaped Silver and
Gold unto himself .Deut.17:17... hope this helps.

S Where
is the country of the
Seir?..
Any information would be of great help. Thank You
Dear Butch, ... Seir is the awesome and grand mountain
mass of Edom which was compared to the majesty of God (Deu

Father of the Edomites.

... What does the bible
teach us on
suicide?
Dear Ronnie, Suicide is tool of
Satan - The most famous example is Judas. After Satan had
entered into him and caused him to betray Jesus, Satan in
effect killed him or had him to kill himself. Satan is still
doing this today especially to people on drugs or who are
depressed. Satan's job description is "to kill, to destroy,
to steal" Christians should submit to God and resist him.

... I am having to write a paper on the "Call of
Samuel"
taken from I Samuel 3:1-21. I really need some more verses
and understanding that can help me write this paper. Please
send me other verses in the Bible that I may read and
understand the "Call of Samuel".Thank you,
Dear Marie, Samuel was a young boy
when God first spoke to him. Perhaps 22 years later at the
age of thirty ( like John the Baptist and Jesus) Samuel
began to fulfill his calling of God ( I Samuel 9:6). Samuel
lived in Ramah and was a Seer or one who saw in a vision
what he predicted. All Seers were Prophets but not all
Prophets were Seers. Hope this helps

... .How does
Saul
offend Yahweh? 2.Why else did
Israel need/want a king?
3.Judges. 16-21 reads, " In those days
there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in
his own eyes."
Also please explain these concepts
within the books of Samuel and Kings. 1) Israel sins and is
punished 2) Israel cries to Yahweh for help 3) Yahweh sends
a deliverer, a judge, who saves the people 4) Once rescued,
the people sin again, and the whole process is
repeated.
Dear Lily, ....1. Saul offended God by failing to
completely destroy the Amalakites (see also Deuteronomy
25:17 - 19) as God had told him and secondly by consulting a
psychic or fortune teller (witch). Psychics were to be
killed not consulted - Exodus 22:18, Deuteronomy18:10
2. Israel did not need a King. When they asked for
a King, God told them "I will be your King" but they wanted
to be like the rest of the world, so God obliged them. 1
Samuel 8:5,10 - When Messiah comes, God truly will be their
King forever.
3. " Every man (and woman) did what was "right" in
their own eyes" The Sodomite ( Homosexual and Lesbian )
Headquarters was next to the seat of Government - 2 Kings
23:7. A loud drum was beat (Toph or Topheth) during the
worship service to drown out or muffle the sounds of babies
being murdered nearby - 2 Kings 23:10. The Bible and the Ten
Commandments had been removed from all Public buidings,
Schools and Places of Worship - 2 Kings 22:8 - 13. Lastly,
sex orgies in the Buildings of the seat of Government were
commonplace and approved by the people. - Ezekiel 8:17 ....
The Religious Leaders, for the most part, went along with
the crowd and endorsed all this until a Godly ruler named
Josiah came along.
Concepts 1 - 4.When a wicked person(s) truly
repents, restores that which he has robbed people of and
walks in Righteousness they shall live, God will forgive
them but if they return to their sins, none of their
Righteousness will be remembered and they shall die. This is
repeated seven times in Ezekiel 33 .... hope this helps
S ... I
would like more info. about the men in the bible.
(Saul)
Dear Jewel .... Saul, the first King of Israel was from
the tribe of Benjamin and from the city of Gibeah, just
north of Jerusalem. Tall and handsome, Saul was warned not
to forget God by a miraculous thunderstorm in 1 Samuel 12
.... His first mistake (chapter13) was to offer sacrifice,
which was the exclusive function of the Priests..... His
second mistake (chapter 14) was his silly order for the army
to abstain from food and to order the death of his own
son..... His third mistake (chapter15) was deliberate
disobedience to God. This caused Samuel the Prophet to
pronounce "Because you have rejected God, God has rejected
you from being king." This is a case of three strikes and
you are out !!!

My question has to do with two
passages in the NT. Mt.26:6, and Mk.14:3, Each explicitly
say that Jesus was at "the house of
Simon
the leper". We are immediately
confronted with the dilemma. Lepers were not permitted to
have social contact (Lev.13:46). Also their clothing were to
be destroyed. How is it that this leper was permitted to
remain among the populus?
Dear Calvin, Simon evidently was one of the many lepers
who had been healed by Jesus in Bethany

My name is Frances and I am trying to find out the hebrew
word for six hundred
sixty six. I would appreciate
it if you can help me. I am also wondering what is the
hebrew word for Mark. Thank you very much for your
time.
Dear Frances, If I knew that I would know the name of the
Antichrist. Men have chosen at least 35 names for the
Antichrist including Nimrod, Judas Iscariot, Mussolini,
Hitler, Stalin and others. Chosen because their names in
Greek would equal 666. All this is human speculation. While
the letters in the name of the Antichrist will have a
numerical value of 666 in Greek or Hebrew, he will not come
until after the rapture of the Church. .....Mark in Hebrew
is "Yahweh is gracious" ....hope this helps

...HELLO, I WOULD LIKE TO
HAVE MY QUESTION ANSWERED WTIH MUCH DOCUMENTATION. MY
QUESTION IS... WHO, WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW IT CAME ABOUT. THE
FIRST ACT OF HOMOSEXUALITY.... THE TRUTH... BECAUSE IF WE
START LOOKING AT IT THIS WAY WE COULD COME UP WITH THE
ANSWER. TO HELP EVERYONE .....
Dear Kathleen, Homosexuality, called
Sodomy in the Bible,
is unatural or perverted sex relations with the same sex or
with animals. The ANSWER in the words of John the Baptist
and Jesus, is "Repent" or change your mind about your life
style and accept Jesus as the Lamb of God who took your sin
on the cross.
The city of Sodom as first mentioned in
Gen 10:19 was a beautiful place
- like the Garden of Eden see Gen 13
10.... Today tourists coat themselves with the pitch
from God's fiery destruction of Sodom and take a mud bath in
the Dead Sea.... There were sodomites in Israel when " Every
man (and woman) did what was "right" in their own eyes" The
Sodomite Headquarters was next to the seat of Government in
Israel - 2Kings 23:7..... In
the Tribulation period the Sodomite headquarters will be in
Jerusalem and perversion will dominate the end of this Age -
Rev. 11:8 .... The Apostle Paul
describes sodomites in Romans 1: 26 -
28 and warns us that they cannot inherit God's
Kingdom in...1Cor. 6:9,
Recently the Supreme Court of the
United States declared a constitutional right to consensual
sodomy and, by the language in its decision, opened the door
to homosexual marriages, bigamy, legalized prostitution, and
even incest. Five unelected men and women who serve for life
have changed the moral fabric of the U.S. and have take away
the protections which our elected legislators have wisely
put in place. But there is a higher tribunal than the United
States Supreme Court. There is the Judge of all the earth.
No culture has ever endured which has turned openly to
homosexuality. And no society has ever been spared the wrath
of God which has been guilty of slaughtering tens of
millions of innocent unborn babies. Would you join with us
and many others in crying out to our Lord Jesus to change
the Court?

... Mattthew chapters 5, 6, and 7 are usually referred to as
"Sermon on the
Mount". What are the lessons
believers should learn from this great message?
Dear Chinedu, "The Sermon on the
Mount" is a term applied by Augustine (circa A.D.400) to
Matthew chapters 5 through 7 and established in English
usage by the Coverdale Bible (A.D. 1535). Jesus addressed
this Sermon to his disciples. It contains the similitudes of
believers..5:13 - 18, the Laws of the Kingdom..5:19 - 20,
How they transcend the Law of Moses..5:21 - 22, restitution
and prayer 5:23 - 24, civil suits 5:25 - 26, Adultery 5:27 -
30, divorce and re-marriage 5:31 - 32, retaliation 5:38 -
42, love 5:43 - 48, almsgiving 6:1 - 4, prayer 6:5 -13,
fasting 6:16 - 18, riches 6:19 - 24, double-mindness 6:22 -
24, worry 6:25 - 34, judging 7:1 - 5, sacred things 7:6,
answered prayer 7:7 - 11, the golden rule 7:12, the two
choices 7:13 - 14, disception 7:15 - 20, mere profession
7:21 - 23, 2 foundations 7:24 - 27.

... My question is...Would
there be a possibility of a fall (into
sin)
in the new heaven and earth either the redeemed or angelic.
Scripture if possible?
Dear Gail ... Not possible .. 2
Peter 3:13 ... We look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness.( no sin) Also Isaiah 65:17,
66:22-24, Revelation 21:1, 22:5... There will be sin during
the Millennium, however.
The Bible talks of transgressions,
iniquities and
sins.
What are the differences ? Can you please elaborate.Thank
you.
Dear Roger,.... Transgression is
breaking the Law of God. There must be something to
transgress before there can be a transgression. .....
Iniquity (ies) is a noun describing wickedness ....Sin may
be implicit disobedience by one who is under no expess Law,
causing one to commit a transgression ...Romans 7:7,13, hope
this helps.

Shittim
wood, or Acacia tortilis, the most common and the largest

What verses talk about if they do or not?
Dear Reanna,
Soul
( meaning life or self ) has a wide range of meanings in the
Bible. The most significant text being Genesis 12:7 where at
Creation man became a living being. The RSV makes a
distinction between man as a "living being" and animals as
"living creatures" ... hope this helps

I am trying to find
information on the custom, the reason and the meaning behind
the use of
sackcloth
and ashes.
Dear Bert, Sackcloth is strong
rough cloth woven from the long dark hair of a goat or camel
frequently used by the poor as ordinary clothing and served
as the distinctive wear of the Prophets. (Isaiah 20) On some
occasions it was worn as a loincloth or undergarment. (2
Kings 6:30) The rough and itchy texture along with ashes
served as a symbol of penitence at times of grief and
sadness ( Genesis 37:34) for Arabic nations as well as
Israel ( Jonah 3:5, Jeremiah 49:3, Isaiah 15:3 )
