History of the ministry

In 1987 a German Lady named Anglika had a Vision in a time of prayer where she saw a child sitting on the floor in front of a wall with its hand lifted up saying:" Don't just pray for us but come and personally help us."

After 7 years of preparation she was sent by a church named: "Christus Centrum Ruhrgebiet in Duisburg" in February 1994 to Columbia.

Working on the basis of James 2:14-26 "Faith without work is dead "

1.) Providing clothes and food for the children, establishing relationships with them and helping with their school work.

2.) Teaching values: Respect, loving others, sharing and to value to what we have.

3.) Taking care of their health, develop their intellect, help them to increase their knowledge of God, live with a schedule and with reponsibility

4.) Counseling with a Christian psychologist to restore the personality and heart.

5.) To learn manual work in different areas.

6.) Recreation, sports, games etc.

7.) Information about the damage drug abuse produces.

8.) Be an example, give affection and love so their emotional hurts can be healed.

9.) Develop a network with other Christian and non Christian organizations

Characteristics and age of the youth we are receiving

Age: Boys and girls from 3-18 years old. Kids who are in high risk ending up on the street without help and kids who already living on the street.

Characteristics: Distrustful ( result of bad treatment ) fear of authorities, lack of love, addicted to drugs, no idea of time, don't feel protected, lack of self-esteem, sadness for not belonging to a family.

Spiritual Foundation

Isaiah 61:1-9 With the help of the Holy Spirit we have the ability a.) preach the good news to the depressed. Help the broken hearted. Set them free from drugs. b.) fruits of the work : They will be called trees of Righteousness, instead of their shame....

 Goals

Having different houses. - In each house there will be 12 children with 4 leaders, living as a family together, going to school etc. They will stay with us until they can live their own life. Kids who do not have parents can connect with them, and go back to them if it is possible. Others can be adopted if there is no family member who wants to have them.

Each child has 2-3 monthly supporters. If you want to help a child regularly please tell us. We will send You more information on how it works. Thank You very much for being interested in our ministry in Colombia

Year 2004 - Actually we are helping 40 children. Now we have a hairdresser shop for one and a half years. This year we are planning to open a bakery and 2 more houses. We want to help many more children with the help of God.
