Gday, Here is a great testimony from a friend of mine in the USA. We met just before his missions trip and talked about God's supernatural healing power. He asked if I could give him any of my teaching on the subject .... Read for yourself the fruit and impact he had.
Dear John,
Have to tell you this. In an all
Navajo member church a medicine man showed up and sat in the back.
Many Navajo give their life to God but also continue to go to the
medicine man for traditional ceremonies (curses) and healings. I
explained they were committing the sin of Esau by trading their
blood-bought birthright purchased by Jesus and trading it for the
carnal traditional of men to satisfy their fleshly hunger for
comfort. I challenged them to believe in God and God alone. And to
demonstrate they needed know He was all they need proclaim and that
God would heal them all. Around 18 came forward and God healed them
all! What a marvelous day as God made Himself known to the people! If
you have a friend who would like to have the teaching, please just
send
me an email.
The Evidence that Jesus is who He says HE is and can do what He says HE can do is a token, a sign, The promise is to every believer, to everyone who has ever called on the name of the Lord to be saved. We have justified, rationalized and excused the lack of evidence in our life for decades now and brought our theology down to the level of our experience instead of believing the Word of God.... "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8).
We are called by Christ Himself, empowered by His Holy Spirit to be a witness all over the earth to who He is and what He has done. We only qualify as a witness because we have evidence. If we have no evidence, then we do not qualify. If we do not have the evidence that Jesus is who he says He is operating in our lives every day at every possible opportunity than my question to you is, Why not?
If you don't have evidence then you are not a witness.
If you don't have evidence, then maybe you have not really seen Him for who He truly is.
If you don't have evidence then how can you possibly hope to prove that Jesus Christ is who He says He is?
If you don't have evidence then how can you possibly hope to prove to the rest of the world that God the Father sent Jesus to redeem us.
If you don't have evidence then maybe you have counted the traditions of men higher than the Word of God.
Jesus said this of Himself. "Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." (John 10:37-38).
Without evidence you have nothing more than the traditions of men passed down through the generation.
People see the deeds, the effort, the community outreaches. They see the Good, but they are having difficulty seeing God. People come to church for the lifestyle changes and lifestyle enhancement for a while, but unless they are introduced to a supernatural Jesus in a supernatural way their regret for the activities of their life will not bring repentance from the sin they have committed.
If you remove the resurrection power of Jesus Christ from Christianity all you have left are rules and regulations that at best make up a religion, and at worst make up a collection of traditions that have been handed down through the generations by men. The really absurd thing is that they are not even our own experiences, they are the failures and failings of someone else handed down to us. Many of us have grown up with thoughts, ideas and concepts about God that are experientially based and not biblically based. ... If you allow someone to make your world for you, they will always make it to small. "Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down."
In Mark chapter 9 Jesus heals a demon possessed boy that the Disciples could not heal. He went on further and rebuked the disciples for not having the faith to do it themselves. He proved that it was God's will and the issues was not the demon, the issue was lack of faith.... Mark 1:40-41 " A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean."... Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"
If sickness brings glory to God, then we should be believing for and praying for sickness because we are to glorify God in our bodies
Jesus said that he came to do the will of God (John 6:38 ) and the Word says that He healed all of them (Matt 12:15). If healing is not for all, then why did Jesus bare OUR pains, OUR infirmities, OUR diseases, why did His wounds heal US? (Is 53:5). In fact if Jesus came to do only the will of the Father, then Him baring ALL our sickness, everyone of us, is God's will
James says
14 Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.
(James 5:14-15).
Sickness is no more natural than sin is. Both sickness and sin came into the world as a result of sin. When God created the world, He said it was ALL GOOD. The answer to the fall of man and his redemption from sin is Jesus. The answer to the sickness of man and the healing of his flesh is the same Jesus.
Sickness is revealed as coming directly from Satan. .... "So Satan went out and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head." (Job 2:7). .... Jesus declared that a sick woman was bound by Satan and He cast out a spirit of infirmity....." and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity. Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"
(Luke 13:11-16).
A devil which possessed a man was the cause of him being both blind and dumb. When the devil was cast out, he could both see and talk. "Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see."
(Matthew 12:22).
Satan's work is to Steal, Kill and destroy .... Christ work is to bring life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10) Satan is Bad, God is Good.... Sickness is bad, health is good.
Jesus never limited the supernatural to the domain of certain ministers. He said that the power of God belongs to anyone who goes into all the world and preaches ... (Mark 16:15-18) ...In fact He laid down a very precise pattern as to how the gospel should be presented.... "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, `The kingdom of God is near you.' (Luke 10:8-9).
If this is to be so then there must NEVER be one single miracle or divine healing from the death of the last Apostle till now!!! ... Just one miracle Just one healing makes this null and void. ... The greatest miracle of all all, is that of the New Birth experience of Salvation. .... Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). .... The Great Commission contains the command to Go and preach and the promise that Christ will be with us ( Matt 28:19-20) to the end of the age.
Eat with them - Get to know them - build relationships - do what has to be done to relate to people - Heal any sick people. Allow the power of God to confirm who you are. Then present the Gospel of the the Kingdom of God in words. Instead, We impose OUR culture. We talk OUR words.and wonder why we don't have any power. .... He didn't say PRAY for the sick, HE SAID HEAL THE SICK. The outcomes are not optional!! They are mandatory!!
