27 And when Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus said to them, Believe you that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yes, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. 31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country. 32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. 33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spoke: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. 34 But the Pharisees said, He casts out devils through the prince of the devils. .. {1} And he went out from there, and came into his own country; and his disciples followed him. {2} And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, where does this man get these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? {3} Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judah, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. {4} But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. {5} And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. {6} And he marvelled because of their unbelief.
